  1. Turn off your computer.
  2. Place the Clearwire modem with the back of the modem facing a window. The Clearwire logo is on the front of the modem.
  3. Plug the Ethernet cable into the modem. The Ethernet jack is located on the side of the modem.
  4. Plug the power supply into the wall outlet then connect it to the modem. The power supply plug is just below the Ethernet jack. The lights on the top of your modem will begin to cycle--Clearwire calls this "tracking." Once the modem finds a strong signal the lights will change from tracking to blinking. The number of blinking lights indicate signal strength; the more lights the stronger the signal.
  5. Slowly turn the modem left or right to find the position with the best signal. Move the modem slowly and in small increments.
  6. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to your computer or router.
  7. Turn on your computer. Once your computer finishes booting up, the lights on the modem will change from blinking to steady.
  8. Open your Internet browser. You should be connected to the Internet
